Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring a CA RN license and on-call availability.

Job Details

• Work in the Cath Lab unit of an acute care hospital,
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures for adult patients,
• Procedures include left and right heart catheterization, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring,
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM,
• On-call required, averaging 7 overnight call shifts per 14-day pay period,
• Staffing typically organized in teams of 3 to 4 clinicians,
• Uses Meditech charting system,
• Any scrub color permitted,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required,
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias,
• Experience monitoring procedural sedation required,
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty required,
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration,
• LA Fire Card obtained within the last 30 days required,

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures,
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation as part of cath lab duties,
• Free parking available on-site,
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and may be offered a lower bill rate,
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they do not currently reside within 50 miles of the facility,
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day),
• Candidates must disclose any license or background check issues at the time of consideration; open license issues will not be approved,
• Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as needed, and refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
