Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Opportunity

\n

Join a thriving, employed OB/GYN practice dedicated to providing comprehensive women's healthcare in a supportive, collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while enjoying a balanced mix of obstetrics and gynecologic surgery.

Our Level II Maternity Center features a 10-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with a dedicated operating room for labor and delivery. The practice averages approximately 925 deliveries annually and offers significant surgical volume, with an estimated 50/50 split between gynecology and gynecologic surgery . Physicians have access to advanced technology, including the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system , allowing for minimally invasive procedures such as hysterectomies, endometriosis treatment, and fibroid removal.

Position Highlights

• Employed physician model with competitive salary plus RVU-based incentive bonus
\n
• Comprehensive OB and GYN practice with strong surgical opportunities
\n
• Diverse patient population representing a wide range of backgrounds and cultures
\n
• Integrated clinic schedule caring for both OB and GYN patients
\n
• Responsibilities include labor and delivery coverage,  antepartum/postpartum care, triage, gynecologic consultations, and surgery
\n
• Average clinic volume of 2025 patients per day
\n
• Approximately 90 deliveries per month (average of 3 deliveries per day)
\n

\n

Call & Practice Support

\n

\n
• Shared 24-hour call with a current 1:3 rotation, expected to improve to 1:4 or 1:5
\n
• Call is home call with a 20-minute response time; no in-house call requirement
\n
• Residents manage emergency department consultations and triage
\n
• Collaborative support from certified nurse-midwives and Family Medicine physicians with OB training, who independently manage their deliveries while on call
\n
• High-risk maternal-fetal medicine, infertility, urogynecology, and other subspecialty cases are referred to specialty centers
\n

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive annual salary with RVU productivity incentives
\n
• Malpractice coverage: $1 million per occurrence / $3 million aggregate
\n
• $4,000 annual CME allowance
\n
• Up to 40 hours of CME annually

• Current license to practice in the State of Iowa

• Board certification in applicable specialty within five years of residency training
\n
• Fellowship waiver approved by the Credentials Committee
\n
• Medical Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees.
