Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the progressive care or stepdown units, monitoring and managing complex conditions to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients conditions continually and respond to changes with appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following prescribed protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, diagnostic tests, and device readings to assess patient progress.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and update care plans.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly and in compliance with hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families regarding their health conditions and post-discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license issued by the state of North Carolina or appropriate state license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage critically ill patients with complex needs.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
