Job Description

Provides scientific oversight for the development, production, and testing of vaccines and biological products for use in all animals.

Serves as the lead scientist in ensuring the acquisition, maintenance and modification of equipment required for the complex process and analytical development techniques required.

Plans, directs, and coordinates for the early development of vaccines, diagnostics and biotherapeutics.

Oversees the day-to-day operation of the BDM by providing oversight of technical direction to personnel, tracking expenses and handling client inquiries.

Provides technical direction in the formulation and execution of programs and policies related to BDM operations including veterinary countermeasures development.

Oversee the work of 3 major BDM teams: Process/Formulation; Bioassay and Clinical Development; and Master Seed/Cell Production/Banking.
