Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring safe and effective maternal and neonatal outcomes. Responds to on-call responsibilities and collaborates with healthcare teams to support patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor pregnant patients throughout labor and delivery to identify any complications.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Respond to on-call emergencies promptly, providing skilled nursing intervention.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to coordinate care.

Qualifications:

• Valid nursing license in the respective state or region.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery or maternity nursing preferred.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively during on-call shifts and weekends.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
