CT Tech Opportunity

Become a vital part of Jackson HealthPros' team as an experienced CT Tech. You will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and expertly operate CT scan equipment for a hospital in Austell, GA.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client-required certifications on hire: ARRT(R) - Radiography and ARRT(CT) - Computed Tomography.
• BLS certification required (Basic Life Support or equivalent such as ARC-BLS).
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience required. Less than 1 year CT experience is preferred.
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (JRCERT or equivalent).
• Demonstrated competence in CT imaging, patient positioning, exposure factor adjustment, and radiation dose reduction techniques.
• Experience operating CT consoles, pushing/retrieving images to PACS, and using power injection systems.
• Ability to perform venipuncture and follow contrast administration protocols safely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with physicians, patients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to function independently, prioritize, and perform in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Preferred: prior experience working in a hospital imaging department and familiarity with Joint Commission standards and RIS/PACS workflows.

Assignment Details:

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift name: Nights.
• Shift hours: 1900 - 0700.
• Shift pattern: Scheduled night coverage; VMS notes indicate Wednesday/Thursday/Friday night shifts.
• Shift frequency: 3x12 schedule.
• Floating: Candidate must be flexible and may assist or float to other department areas as needed.

Assignment Summary and Expectations:

• Perform a wide variety of CT procedures independently, ensuring diagnostic-quality images and patient safety.
• Obtain complete clinical histories, verify orders, and use two unique identifiers prior to procedures.
• Administer contrast media per established protocols and demonstrate competency with power injectors and venipuncture.
• Respond to emergencies, maintain life support equipment readiness, and restock crash carts as required.
• Operate and maintain CT equipment, maintain infection control cleaning schedules, and ensure studies are sent to PACS and RIS in a timely manner.
• Complete required documentation, participate in mandatory education, and support departmental quality control and productivity standards.
