Creative Marketing Coordinator

Position Title: Creative Marketing Coordinator Department: Marketing Classification: Non-Exempt REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Position Reports To: Marketing Manager Positions Supervised: None POSITION PURPOSE Creates engaging print, digital and video graphics for all mediums and channels including, but not limited to: print and digital advertisements, brochures, in-branch collateral, social media graphics, billboards, mailers and other communications. Creative materials should promote products and services in line with strategic and marketing objectives. Responsible for enhancing the image of the Credit Union in both business and local communities. Maximize the Credit Union's community involvement while developing relationships and networking to enhance potential growth. Coordinates and manages community activities and programs for the Credit Union and ensures that community activities support short and long-term objectives. Responsible for the creation, coordination, and execution of the Financial Education Program. Maintain a positive professional image and reputation of the Credit Union in the community. Completes administrative and operational duties for marketing, public relations, and supports the department with other general marketing duties, as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 1. Assumes responsibility for implementing effective marketing programs. a. Responsible for graphic design projects from concept and design to production.
b. Works closely with the Marketing Manager to create collateral, promotional, and advertising pieces for print, web, social media, and event projects. c. Assists branch offices with displays, promotions, and marketing materials, clearly communicating the purpose and details of promotions to ensure brand consistency and the timely update of materials. d. Maintains and restocks inventory or marketing materials and supplies, including but not limited to brochures, envelopes, and pens. Coordinates distribution of inventory to branches and departments according to their needs.
e. As directed, acts as a contact person for staff, vendors, and agencies to communicate marketing objectives and/or secure price quotes. 2. Assumes responsibility for effectively completing community activities and programs. a. Seeks areas of opportunity to grow and enhance the Credit Union community involvement that will align with the Credit Union brand and culture.
b. Creates articles, advertisements, and announcements for meetings and special events.
c. Develops organized ways of measuring community involvement success.
d. Supports the development and grow the Credit Union's Financial Education Programs in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
e. Ensures that community activities are effective and support marketing objectives. f. Plans and coordinates community events.
g. Ensures that marketing functions are professionally executed.
3. Assumes responsibility for effectively completing public relations activities. a. Directs activities for grand openings. Invites media, prepares information sheets, orders signs, and flowers, arranges for photography and refreshments, and provides giveaways and door prizes.
b. Supports promotional events for the Credit Union, including coordinating event logistics with necessary materials and communicating event details to staff.
c. Assists with the coordination of activities for annual meetings, special meetings, and seminars relating to Credit Union business.
d. Ensures that members and communities are properly informed of Credit Union events.
e. Assists with the preparation of the community budget.
4. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. a. Demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of the "Thank God It's Monday" philosophy through positive behavior.
b. Completes special projects as assigned.
c. Stays current with financial marketing and public relations trends. d. Keeps work areas clean, secure, and well-maintained. e. Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns.
f. Attends and supports Marketing meetings and activities.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS 1. Advertising collateral is created timely and adheres to brand guidelines. 2. Branches have up-to-date materials and receive them quickly upon request.
3. Administrative tasks are completed promptly and with minimal errors.
4. Community activities are effectively and efficiently completed and support Credit Union goals and objectives. 5. Community events are communicated to branch personnel. 6. Community events are well-advertised, planned, and organized. 7. Positive community and media relations exist. Community assistance programs and sponsorships are administered effectively. 8. Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems. 9. Activities are completed within budget requirements. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Required Knowledge : Basic knowledge of Credit Union operations. Understanding of public relations, business development, and media processes. Experience Required: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Skills/Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Well organized. Attentive to detail. Strong project management abilities. Able to use related computer applications. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly. Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Repetitive Motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery. Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.) WORKING CONDITIONS None: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office). MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization. Able to interpret various instructions. Mathematics Ability: Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; to perform the four basic arithmetic operations with money; to perform operations with units such as inch, foot, and yard; ounce and pound (or their metric counterparts). Language Ability: Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias. Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling and grammar. Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis; correct pronunciation (or sign equivalent) and variation in word order; using present, perfect, and future tenses.
