Manager, Tax Credits & Incentives

Our client is seeking a strategic and analytical professional to lead the administration, compliance, and optimization of tax credit and incentive programs across multiple jurisdictions.

This individual will work closely with finance, operations, legal, and external stakeholders to identify, secure, monitor, and maximize economic development incentives that support business growth initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful financial impact while partnering with leadership on strategic projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of tax credit and incentive programs across multiple states and local jurisdictions
  • Oversee ongoing compliance, reporting requirements, and incentive-related filings
  • Monitor program performance and quantify financial benefits associated with incentive agreements
  • Partner with internal teams to identify opportunities for new incentive programs and business expansion initiatives
  • Coordinate with external consultants, economic development organizations, and government agencies
  • Analyze regulations and program requirements to ensure continued compliance and maximize available benefits
  • Develop reporting and tracking processes to support incentive administration and audits
  • Prepare presentations and recommendations for leadership regarding incentive opportunities and program performance
  • Support process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and operational efficiencies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Experience managing tax credits, incentives, economic development programs, or related compliance activities
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Experience working in complex multi-state environments preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Experience with reporting, compliance, and cross-functional business partnerships
  • CPA, CMI, CCIP, or related certifications are a plus
