Joshua’s Academy is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and nurturing Before & Aftercare Teachers to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with elementary-aged children and creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment before and after the school day.

Teachers will supervise students, assist with homework, facilitate enrichment activities, and promote positive social interactions while maintaining a structured and fun atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children in grades K–5
• Assist students with homework and academic support
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, games, arts & crafts, and enrichment experiences
• Foster positive behavior and strong social-emotional development
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
• Communicate professionally with families and team members
• Follow all Joshua’s Academy, school, and OCDEL policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or educational setting preferred
• Patient, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families
• Must obtain or possess all required clearances and OCDEL-approved documentation

Schedule:

Monday–Friday (5 days per week)

Morning Shift: 6:00 AM–7:30 AM

Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM–6:30 PM

Part-time opportunities available for candidates who can commit to a consistent weekly schedule.
