Solar Project Foreman: Travel-Ready Lead Electricians

The Electrical Solar Foreman will oversee and manage the project or job from start to finish. The Electrical Solar Foreman will meet or beat the estimated labor hours and material dollars. Supervisory Responsibilities The Electrical Solar Foreman will supervise electricians, solar installers, and any sub‑contractors that are placed on their job site. Duties/Responsibilities Once the company is awarded projects, a Project Manager will assign a project to you to manage Manage your project from start to finish Must be willing to travel and work out of town Coordinate with customers, contractors, and all trades Order and manage manpower, tools, and materials through vendors each day before the allotted time Plan, layout, installation of electrical wiring, roof racking, PV cables, inverters, wiring equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes Be willing to make decisions and be accountable for them Maintain neatness with installations Apply problem‑solving skills Meet or beat the estimated labor hours and material dollars Attend job meetings as required Perform weekly Tool Box talks and daily Site Safety Checklists Assist with field training and development of apprentices Promote sales of additional items the customer needs Ensure all paperwork is completed promptly (work authorizations, as‑built drawings, purchase orders, credit cards, gas receipts, and reports) Closeout the project with a satisfied customer Demonstrate strong leadership in setting good examples while representing Garber Electrical Promote safety; maintain zero violations; wear proper PPE; follow company, customer, and OSHA policies Advise management on potential hazards Maintain customer service relationships; avoid complaints and unearned losses to customers or vendors Required Skills/Abilities Possess a can‑do attitude Identify areas for improvement Show leadership and set good examples for electricians Show punctuality and reliability Have required tools and maintain neat installations Maintain a clean appearance (vehicle and personal) Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and Dispatch Report job status to PM daily or as needed Work collaboratively with co‑workers and maintain respectful communication Hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable through Garber Electrical’s insurance Read and understand blueprints Know the Electrical Code (NEC) Troubleshoot electrical circuitry and issues Physical Requirements Perform work in all weather conditions Work from heights including ladders, roofs, and elevated lifts Perform physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches or lifting objects of 75 pounds or more The above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
