About us The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand’s cyber defence. We fulfil the cyber security responsibilities of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) | Te Tira Tiaki, and provide cyber security services to all New Zealanders – from individuals and small businesses and organisations up to large enterprises, government, and critical national infrastructure. The role We are on the lookout for a System Admin/Engineer with Splunk experience to join our specialised, supportive team based in Blenheim. The role is key to the operational support of Linux and Windows environments and works across the full spectrum from physical devices, virtualisation, operating systems and application support. You'll understand the need for policy and processes and have a process improvement mindset. Demonstrated experience in Splunk configuration and management will be key for this role. Level 1 At least 3 years’ relevant experience in the computing or IT industry. Backup and recovery management Equipment installation Virtualisation technologies Computer scripting skills would be a bonus! Level 2 Minimum 5 years’ experience in the computing or IT industry. You must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15‑year checkable background in countries NZSIS.
