Sikorsky is building a Model Based Engineering Environment with technical focus areas that include: Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Modeling and Simulation, Process Automation across the entire product life cycle, Data analytics and management, Software Factories, and IT infrastructure development. The Sr. MBSE and Process Development Systems Engineer is responsible for working with Engineering leads to link the Sikorsky Line of Business to the Model Based Engineering (MBE) acceleration. A good understanding of process improvement and systems engineering is a must. The 1LMX efforts create the integrated digital future by building the necessary infrastructure to allow for information exchange between all of the business areas throughout Lockheed Martin. The candidate selected for this role will be responsible to help define the Sikorsky systems engineering products that link to this information digital highway and identify areas of process improvement to support Model-Based Product Definition. The ability to find ways to integrate requirements for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) interoperability, tools integration, model-driven reviews, and automation of tools is all part of this effort. The purpose of these is to allow for efficient information exchange across the company to better support our internal and external customers.The Sr. MBSE and Process Development Systems Engineer will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across multiple disciplines within Sikorsky and other LM business areas. Some of these responsibilities include working with internal and external stakeholders to understand current requirements and processes, defining data interfaces and exchanges between different business areas, identification of MBSE tools that promote increased engineering productivity, and modeling process improvements.Basic Qualifications:• Minimum of 5 years professional work experience in an aerospace engineering (or similar) environment• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following related fields: Systems Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar• Demonstrated knowledge in Systems Engineering requirements development, requirements management, and process improvement.• Experience with product lifecycle requirements management • Good communication skills at all levels; ability to present technical data in status reviews.• familiarity with developing and/or executing technical plans• Direct experience with MBSE principles and applications• Direct knowledge of SysMLDesired Skills:Working Knowledge and experience with the following tools:- Cameo - DOORS- PLM/Product Lifecycle ManagementAbility to work in an agile work environment with changing priorities.
