Cash Office Associate

Location: 3103 Yorktown Drive, Bismarck, North Dakota 58503 Position Summary This role is responsible for completing the cash office operations in an accurate and efficient manner. The associate verifies and reviews lane tracking, daily refunds, paid‑outs, deposits, and other duties to ensure a positive contribution to the store’s best interests. Responsibilities Observe strict confidentiality of all company records and financial information. Perform and monitor front‑end activities to ensure cashiers comply with store policies for all transactions (cash, checks, debit/credit cards, food stamps, ID, over‑rings, refunds, bottle returns, vendor coupons, gift cards, vouchers, lottery tickets, and postage). Follow all policies pertaining to the sale of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and pseudoephedrine. Operate cash register, display cost of customer purchases, make change, cash checks, and issue receipts. Be knowledgeable of product locations to assist customers. Implement all related security and cash drawer accounting procedures. Inform management of problems with pricing, cash registers, scales, or other cash‑office issues. Maintain records on cash controls for internal audits. Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service or assistance. Maintain a clean, attractive, and customer‑friendly store. Follow PPE and safety guidelines, food‑safety and cleaning expectations, and guest‑experience guidelines. May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer‑experience needs. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (preferred). One year of retail or related experience (preferred). Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents. Basic mathematical skills. Detail oriented and organized. Basic computer knowledge (email, spreadsheets, etc.). Physical Requirements – May be required to lift or move up to 30pounds frequently and up to 50pounds occasionally. Must stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. May be exposed to varying temperatures and outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
