Foreign Military Sales Logistics Manager Duties

Plan, direct, coordinate, and monitor Foreign Military Sales (FMS) logistics case management activities to ensure alignment with customer requirements, delivery schedules, procurement, and supply support objectives.

Serve as a technical authority to advise U.S. and foreign government officials on FMS logistics programs, policies, and methods; reconcile case-related issues, and authorize necessary operational deviations to meet program goals.

Conduct studies and evaluate logistics management reports, metrics, and operational inquiries to identify problem areas, allocate/realign resources, and initiate corrective actions or updated procedures.

Supervises a group of employees consisting of Logistics Management Specialists, Supply Technicians and support personnel ranging in grades from GS-4 thru GS-12.

Represent the command in cross-functional working groups, committees, and high-level meetings with military leaders and foreign representatives to negotiate requirements, resolve conflicting priorities, and defend logistics policies.
