Job Summary Cat Scan Technologists use computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross‑section images for diagnosis. The role requires accurate interpretation of physician instructions, administration of contrast materials, operation of CT equipment, and patient positioning to capture appropriate images from varying angles. Responsibilities Maintain solid to expert knowledge of all CT procedures. Communicate and work independently while performing all CT procedures on patients ranging from newborns to older adults. Operate CT equipment to capture images from different angles. Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment, and setting exposure factors. Show empathy and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, and colleagues. Qualifications Graduate of a 24‑month AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology school and certified by ARRT. ARRT(RT)(CT) certification required, with CE compliance and current BLS certification. Minimum of one year diagnostic experience; CT experience preferred. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment. Certificate or associate degree in a relevant field.
