Dining Services plays an important role in supporting the health, well-being, and daily experience of our students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Dining Services leadership team, the Cashier / Stocker is responsible for supporting dining room operations, customer service, product merchandising, inventory replenishment, and point-of-sale transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Greet students, faculty, staff, and guests professionally.
• Operate point-of-sale systems accurately.
• Answer questions regarding menu items and ingredients.

Merchandising and Stocking

• Stock beverages, snacks, grab-and-go items, and retail products.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
• Maintain attractive and organized displays.

Dining Room Operations

• Assist with dining room cleanliness.
• Replenish service stations and condiments.
• Support meal periods and special events.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and operate commercial kitchen equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Food Handler Card required.
• Basic cash handling and POS experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement contributions, professional development opportunities, and tuition remission benefits.
• Salary range: $20/hr$26/hr annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
