This position reports to:
QCS Engineering Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

Responsibilities:

• Sales Support:

- Collect data from ABB and competitive systems for baseline performance and future performance guarantee development.

- Provide process control expertise during QCS order pursuit.

- Act as technical liaison between ABB sales and customer process control and engineering teams.

• Planning and Schedule Management:
  
  • Develop Systems Engineering Plan for all projects when lead role is assigned (implementation order and expected duration of control tuning and operator training tasks)
  • Manage Systems Engineering team for site coverage when lead role is assigned.
• Project Execution:
  
  • Prepare System software and make ready for internal integration test.
  • Support integration test of systems during internal One-hundred Percent Test.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Test with Customer, if included in project.
• Operator Training:
  
  • Develop training material both general and specific to project requirements.
  • Develop operator training schedule as part of overall Systems Engineering Plan.
  • Deliver effective operator training, which may include classroom and hands-on sessions.
• Results Delivery:
  
  • Insure all control features are tuned and optimized.
  • Collect data and review results versus performance objectives.
• Customer Satisfaction:
  
  • Provide Technical lead of project activities during the start-up, optimization and results stage of the project.
  • Insure proper implementation and function of any customer requested specials.
  • Resolve any outstanding issues with systems after commissioning.
  • Provide continued support to customer after the commissioning of a new system.

The work model for the role is : Remote location is available. Ideally in OH or WI.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required, with Engineering or Paper Science degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience required. Industrial Experience helpful but not required.
• Fluent in written and verbal English, Spanish a plus.
• Strong leadership and communications skills.
• Up to 60% travel; geographic location is flexible.

Time off

ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Vacation is provided based on years of service for hourly and non-exempt positions. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $58,500 and $93,600 annually.
