Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized patient care as a Travel Sitter in a hospital setting, supporting high-risk patients including those with behavioral health challenges, suicidal or homicidal tendencies, and substance abuse issues. Ensure patient safety and adhere to facility policies during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and document patient conditions accurately during shifts.
• Assist with maintaining a safe environment for high-risk patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members during pre-shift huddles.
• Follow unit policies, safety protocols, and dress code requirements.
• Support patient needs with kindness and flexibility, especially in emergency and inpatient units.
• Complete required documentation in compliance with hospital standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current BLS certification.
• Possess at least 2 years of clinical experience in behavioral health or med-surg settings.
• Demonstrate a compassionate, flexible, and professional demeanor.
• Be able to work weekends and on-call shifts as scheduled.
• Show ability to follow strict safety and documentation protocols.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills essential for high-risk patient care.
