Empower young learners and make a lasting impact by supporting preschool-aged children as a Special Education Teacher. This rewarding position focuses on providing individualized support to students ages 3 to 5, fostering early development and growth in a nurturing educational environment. Flexible scheduling is offered, with the option to work full-time or part-time—your caseload will be tailored to your preferred hours and availability.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid, active Ohio Department of Education (ODE) License required
- Experience or interest in working with preschool children ages 3-5
- Background in special education, with knowledge of best practices and instructional strategies for early learners
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to partner effectively with families and multidisciplinary team members
- Willingness to work on-site and to accommodate travel within the area
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on preschool students’ unique needs
- Utilize creative instructional methods to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate updates with families and staff
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Collaborate with speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and other support personnel as needed
