Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT, following established plans of care.
• Implement and modify treatments targeting mobility, strength, balance, and functional activities.
• Support ROM, gait training, endurance, and functional mobility sessions; assist with transfers and positioning as needed.
• Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team.
• Ensure safety during therapy sessions, maintain equipment, and adhere to infection control and documentation standards.
• Contribute to discharge planning and collaboration with nursing, rehab, and social work teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active Maryland Physical Therapy Assistant license or current eligibility to practice
• Graduation from an accredited PTA program (associate degree)
• Ability to work in a LTAC/long-term care setting and support a 36-hour weekly schedule
• Availability to start on 08/24/2026 and complete the 20-week assignment
• Prior LTAC or skilled nursing experience preferred
