Brunswick is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing and passionate team. This position will work closely with the Capital Equipment product, service, and sourcing teams to concept, design, and develop new and improved products. We are looking for creative and team-oriented people who believe in the ethos of "Experience is Everything" and who have a bias towards action and a burning desire to create outstanding products.Roles and responsibilities:Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new productsAnalyze existing product designs to propose improvements in performance, reliability, ease of assembly and reduced costDevelop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designsPerform engineering calculations to support design workCreate and review models, technical drawings, plans, and specifications using CreoCollaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, installation teams, and suppliers throughout the product life cycleProvide post-production support as neededQualificationsMinimum Position Qualifications:Experience - 2-5 years of experience working in engineeringFirm knowledge of commonly used engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and productsSolid knowledge of practices and procedures within engineering design, drafting and documentation systemsCurrent CAD modeling experience in CreoHands-on mechanical and troubleshooting experience maintaining mechanical productsExceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning abilityAbility to evaluate appropriate data and make sound decisionsStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsMust be self-motivated and a great team memberHigh degree of accuracy, consistency and good organizational skillsAbility to read and understand schematics and data sheets for componentsComfortable supporting test lab activitiesComfortable supporting end users / customersEducation - Minimum BS/BA degree with major in Mechanical Engineering or related field
