As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening in New Castle, DE , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.67 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat02:00 AM - 10:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipment‑related access requirements, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas. Conduct screening of people, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with posted procedures, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or security‑related concerns to site leadership. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and assisting with initial response actions as directed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual conditions, access issues, and/or potential security‑related risks within the location. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age. A guard card/license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security‑related license is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
