Job Overview:
The Patient Services Representative I represents the organization to patients seeking healthcare insights. Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures with confidence.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collection.
- Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, which may include weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Minimum of 6 months of experience required; 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboarding and data entry experience required.
