New Jersey Licensed CDI Specialist

To enhance clinical documentation quality, the remote New Jersey Licensed CDI Specialist 2nd Level Reviewer will conduct in-depth reviews of medical records, collaborate with healthcare teams, and provide education on coding guidelines and documentation best practices. Key responsibilities Conduct detailed reviews of medical records to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and documentation accuracy Analyze audit results and data trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations to stakeholders Develop and deliver educational materials and training programs for providers and CDI staff on documentation best practices Required qualifications BSN, PA, NP, or Doctorate degree in a medically related field required Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical documentation improvement role Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in adult acute care settings required Active RN, MD, DO, NP, or PA license required CCDS and/or CDIP certification, as well as CCS certification, required
