Occupational Therapist - PRN Inpatient Adult

Role Overview: A PRN Occupational Therapist provides evaluation and treatment of patients, aligning with current OT principles and practices. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, setting goals, delivering therapeutic interventions, and making discharge recommendations in accordance with standards and regulations. Key Duties Performing OT evaluations and re-evaluations, assessing patient functioning, and planning appropriate treatment and discharge strategies. Delivering direct OT treatments, educating patients and families, and progressing treatment plans based on patient needs. Utilizing proper documentation and collaborating with healthcare team members and external agencies for effective discharge planning. Managing schedules, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Maintaining continuing education units and adhering to departmental and regulatory policies. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. 1-2 years of clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings. Current OT license in D.C. or eligible for licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
