Training Specialist II

Responsibilities Shift: Monday‑Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM with occasional off‑hours training. Responsible for working with multiple learning management systems in place to provide direct support for training needs, such as work curricula (PBT/SOJT), cGMP, and development work, maintaining employee status, and re‑versioning documents, in an administrator capacity. Responsible for working closely with other departments in preparing, developing, delivering and monitoring training plans to meet site, corporate and regulatory agency requirements. Supports training program with excellent customer service and problem solving. Delivers on the annual training and activity schedule to meet yearly objectives such as cGMP training at new employee orientation, Train the Trainer program, Annual curriculum review, and other periodic trainings. Responsible for auditing training effectiveness for various training programs including but not limited to Trained Trainers. Responsible for representing the Quality/Compliance department on related projects as appropriate. Supports and executes annual projects to deliver on site metrics, KPIs, goals, and other compliance program related projects as required. May assist in inspection readiness for the site and provide support to external audits. Responsible for completing all training requirements and maintaining 100% compliance with all assignments. Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Batch Record instructions. Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education, Certification & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or related regulated industry. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Training, Quality, or Compliance role preferred. Experience in training small and large groups. Advanced presentation skills. Knowledge of GMP or another regulated environment preferred. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Computer proficiency with comprehensive working knowledge of MS Office products and computer relational databases. Proficient in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint specifically. Detail oriented with ability to analyze information to develop and deliver corresponding training. Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships between teams and departments. Motivate, influence and engage others with and/or without direct supervisory authority. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Interact positively and collaborate with co‑workers and management. Self‑directed with ability to organize and prioritize work. Adheres to strict due dates and meeting schedules to meet site objectives. Problem Solving Proactively works on problems of a moderate to complex scope where evaluation of contributing factors requires the analysis of situations or data and an in‑depth knowledge and evaluation of various known and unknown factors. Seeks out all resources when selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results. Acts independently and proactively to recommend and administer methods and procedures for problem resolution. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Frequent Using fingers to perform activities such as picking, pinching or typing. Repetitive motions – frequent motions of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Sitting for extended periods of time. Occasional Standing for extended periods of time at work station or equipment. Walking to move short distances quickly and frequently. Grasping – applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Lifting – raising objects from lower to upper and/or moving objects horizontally – up to 25lbs. Visual Acuity Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at a distance close to the eyes. Working Environment Exposure to low noise levels in an office environment. Occasional exposure to moderate to loud noise levels. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts or equipment. Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed when in production areas (e.g., safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
