Dental AssistantJoin a winning, innovative teamWJM Professional Services, LLC is a leading healthcare management firm with 20 years of experience providing healthcare personnel, and administrative staffing services to government agencies, including the Defense Health Agency, the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, Coast Guard National Guard, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.We are currently recruiting for a Dental Assistant at US Coast Guard, Kodiak, AKKey Responsibilities:Prepare treatment rooms, dental instruments, and materials for patient procedures.Assist dentists during examinations, restorations, extractions, and other clinical procedures.Take dental radiographs (X?rays) using proper safety and protection techniques.Sterilize, disinfect, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.Record patient information, treatment notes, and dental charting accurately in the dental record system.Provide patients with pre?procedure and post?procedure instructions.Manage dental supply inventory and ensure availability of materials.Schedule patient appointments and support front?office administrative duties as needed.Maintain infection control and universal precautions in accordance with dental standards.Support dental readiness, mass screenings, and preventive services when assigned.Qualifications:Certificate or formal training as a Dental AssistantMust meet one of the following education or experience pathways: graduation from a CODA?accredited dental assistant program, completion of a military dental assistant/technician program, or completion of a Red Cross Dental Assistant course—each requiring at least 12 months of experience within the past 36 months; or a minimum of 36 months of Dental Assistant experience in a private practice or military clinic within the past 48 months; or graduation from a state?accredited dental assistant or dental technology program within the past 12 months.Minimum of one (1) year of full?time Dental Assistant experience within the last two (2) years.Ability to maintain required continuing education, if applicable.Must successfully pass all WJM & USCG background checks.Resume Requirements:Degrees earnedComplete professional work historyProfessional training/courses completed within the past two yearsProfessional affiliations and membershipsWJM is an EEO Employer / Protected Vet/Disabled
