PARK / SMOKE MONITOR, Albany Care, Evanston, IL - FT

Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, seeks Full Time Smoke/Park Monitors.

Starting pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Available Positions:

1 FT - 11pm-7am, Tuesday - Saturday

1 PT - 11pm-7am, Tuesday - Saturday

Responsibilities of the Park/Smoke Monitor:

• Monitor the park across the street where our residents congregate/smoke for any potential behaviors or concerns
• Clean the park as needed
• Assess situations and prevent conflict
• Ensure safety, as necessary
• Provide beverages, such as water, to residents

Requirements of the Park/Smoke Monitor:

• High School Diploma
• Must be able to speak, read and write English
• Previous experience as a park monitor or similar position a plus
• Some experience in a mental health facility helpful
• Ability to use a two-way radio
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, and tolerate all weather conditions
• Must be personable and patient with residents, staff, visitors and law enforcement
• Must be compassionate, understanding and tolerant of individuals with mental disorders
