This position is responsible for training, mentoring, and developing the technical ability, efficiency, master craftmanship and continuous improvement mindset of Service Technicians at all facilities. HLAs – HIGH LEVERAGE ACTIVITIES (focus actions that will return the highest impact) Deliver training to increase Service Technician proficiency and efficiency. Identify training and development opportunities and implement programs to meet those needs. Key Responsibilities And Performance Measures Develop and implement high quality technical training programs for Service Technicians using a variety of delivery methods. Create assignment-based and hands-on activities to allow students to develop practical skills. Collaborate with management to identify training needs and tailor programs accordingly. Lead instructional sessions for diverse training academies, focusing on topics such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, and hydraulics. Collaborate with Service Managers and subject matter experts to comprehend and deliver accurate and up-to-date training content. Develop engaging and interactive virtual training sessions that effectively convey complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand. Continuously improve training materials and methodologies based on participant feedback, industry advancements, and evolving best practices. Coordinate logistics for instructional events, including scheduling classes, reserving facilities, travel arrangements and preparing workstations. Ensure the most efficient use of resources. Maintain thorough and accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness. Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements related to diesel engines to ensure training materials remain current. Embrace and adapt to new learning opportunities.
