divh2Job Title/h2pSummary: Responsible for the safe and timely delivery and retrieval of office products to S.P. Richards customers during overnight routes, ensuring excellent service and adherence to DOT and company safety standards./ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned./pulliPerform Company established and DOT mandated pre- and post-trip safety inspections of assigned vehicle./liliCheck paperwork against the products ordered and shipped./liliMaintain an accurate, detailed electronic delivery log using the onboard tablet or ELD system for route navigation, DOT compliance logging, and Proof of Delivery (POD)/liliCleaning and maintenance functions of delivery vehicle./liliAdhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials./liliRetrieve returns and accurately record their numbers./liliProficient completion of assigned delivery route in the predetermined sequence./liliUnloads and/or picks up orders at designated delivery site utilizing equipment on truck which includes pallet jack, power jack, hand truck or by hand when necessary./liliProper handling and filing of customer paperwork as needed./liliProvide courteous, efficient and professional service in dealing with customers. Neatness is a must./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliMust possess a valid commercial drivers license class A as required by DOT and two (2) years driving experience./liliMust have clean three (3) year motor vehicle history./liliMust meet SPRs Driving Standards as provided at time of interview and maintain those standards throughout employment./liliMust be able to safely drive product to customers on established routes, utilizing route numbers to identify correct customer./liliMust be able to meet and fulfill all regulations and requirements for truck drivers as prescribed by the DOT and maintain valid DOT licenses or qualifications./li/ululliMust demonstrate strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately read and match product numbers, line codes, and location identifiers in a fast-paced environment./li/ulullistrongPreferred:/strong Experience using Roadnet system for DOT logging and POD collection, and familiarity with tablets or ELDs for electronic logging and route navigation./li/ulpEducation/Experience:/ppHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./ppLanguage Ability:/ppAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write legibly./ppMath Ability:/ppAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s./ppReasoning Ability:/ppAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
