It's about protecting people and creating safe, welcoming environments where ministry can happen every day.We are seeking an experienced Security Services Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for security services across our diverse ministry environments, including church, K-12 school, residential, retreat, administrative, and special-event settings.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can see the big picture and ensure the details are carried out in the field. The Director will establish security strategy and standards, develop people, strengthen emergency preparedness, and ensure identified risks and approved improvements move from recommendation to implementation. This leader will build a culture of vigilance, professionalism, accountability, preparedness, hospitality, and Christ-centered service.Global Evangelism, Inc. From worship services and education to residential ministry, conferences, special events, and community outreach, our teams work together to create environments where people can worship, learn, grow, serve, and experience the love of Christ.As our Security Services Director, you will:Lead a comprehensive, multi-site security program that protects employees, students, ministry leaders, volunteers, guests, facilities, and organizational assetsDevelop security strategies, operating standards, and long-range priorities, turning assessments, incident findings, audits, and leadership direction into actionable plans with clear ownership and follow-throughLead daily security operations through supervisors, coordinators, dispatch personnel, and designated security leaders, ensuring reliable staffing, post coverage, access control, patrol, visitor management, and incident responseLead emergency preparedness and crisis management across ministry locations, including emergency plans, incident command, drills, exercises, communications, after-action reviews, and coordination with public safety agenciesProvide leadership for school safety and security, including emergency operations, access and visitor management, dismissal procedures, family reunification, threat assessment, and staff preparednessPlan and oversee security operations for worship services, conferences, athletic events, graduations, concerts, and other large ministry gatheringsRecruit, hire, train, coach, and develop security personnel while establishing clear expectations for readiness, accountability, and field performanceStrengthen security operations through training, field inspections, incident reviews, performance measures, and corrective-action tracking, ensuring identified gaps are addressed and improvements are carried through to completionOversee security technology, infrastructure, budgets, and long-range investments in partnership with Facilities, Information Technology, executive leadership, and other key stakeholdersProvide executive leadership with clear, actionable reporting on security risks, staffing, incidents, readiness, costs, performance, and strategic prioritiesWe are looking for an experienced security leader who combines strategic thinking with disciplined execution. The right person doesn't stop at identifying a risk or developing a plan. They build the team, establish expectations, verify performance, measure results, and follow corrective actions through to completion.Our ideal candidate will have:A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in security management, law enforcement, military security, emergency management, or a related fieldAt least three years of experience leading personnel in a multi-site or similarly complex security operationDemonstrated experience developing security programs, operating standards, training programs, emergency-preparedness initiatives, performance measures, and corrective-action systemsExperience working in K-12 education, a large church, complex campus, residential-care environment, or large-event setting is strongly preferredA high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferredA current Texas Level III Commissioned Security Officer license or the ability to obtain and maintain oneA valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving recordThe ability to obtain and maintain required CPR, First Aid, AED, firearms, and other applicable security qualificationsProfessional security or emergency-management training or certifications such as FEMA ICS/NIMS, ASIS CPP or PSP, BTAM, CPTED, or comparable advanced qualifications are highly desirableThis position requires flexibility to respond to ministry events, emergencies, and operational needs outside regularly scheduled hours as needed.Most importantly, we are looking for a leader who demonstrates sound judgment, urgency, integrity, accountability, and composure under pressure.
