Senior Security Solutions Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Security Solutions Engineer based in the United States.

This is a senior, highly technical cybersecurity role serving as a trusted escalation resource for Customer Success and technical support teams.
You will investigate complex security and technology questions, provide accurate answers, and step into customer conversations when deep expertise is required.
The role offers broad exposure to managed detection and response, security operations, integrations, architecture, and enterprise security technologies.
You will work across Security, Detection & Response, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support to turn technical knowledge into scalable solutions.
Beyond solving individual problems, you will identify knowledge gaps, strengthen documentation, and build processes that make teams more effective.
You will also mentor teammates and help reduce recurring technical questions through enablement and self-service resources.

Accountabilities:

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for Customer Success, Technical Account Management, and Technical Support teams, providing timely and accurate guidance on complex security and technology questions.
• Investigate and resolve challenging technical issues through structured root-cause analysis, drawing on expertise across security products, architectures, integrations, and security operations.
• Join customer calls when advanced technical expertise is required, supporting customer-facing teams and communicating complex concepts clearly to both practitioners and senior stakeholders.
• Partner with Security, Detection & Response, Engineering, and other technical teams to gather specialized knowledge and translate it into practical guidance for customer-facing teams.
• Identify recurring questions and knowledge gaps, then develop, review, and continuously improve technical documentation, processes, troubleshooting resources, and self-service content.
• Curate internal and external knowledge repositories and ensure teams can quickly locate reliable answers and relevant technical resources.
• Enable Customer Success, Technical Account Management, and Support teams through knowledge sharing, coaching, and targeted training that reduces unnecessary escalations over time.
• Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to a culture of continuous technical learning and knowledge sharing.
• Track inquiry volumes and recurring technical themes to help identify areas where documentation, enablement, products, or processes can be improved.
• Maintain a customer-focused, consultative approach when navigating technical challenges, disagreements, escalations, and competing priorities.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional cybersecurity experience, including at least 3–4 years in a technical, customer-facing, or consultative security role.
• Deep technical knowledge across at least three security technology areas, such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Network Detection and Response (NDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), cloud security, or related domains.
• Strong understanding of the cybersecurity market, including major security products, providers, capabilities, limitations, and practical tradeoffs.
• Demonstrated ability to perform sophisticated root-cause analysis and troubleshoot complex technical issues accurately and completely.
• Strong knowledge of security controls and technologies across Windows, Unix/Linux, AWS, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and network infrastructure.
• Understanding of common attack vectors, threat tactics, attacker techniques, the attack lifecycle, and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt technical discussions for security practitioners, technical teams, customers, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong consultative skills, including active listening, conflict management, negotiation, stakeholder management, and appropriate escalation.
• Experience creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, knowledge bases, troubleshooting guides, or enablement materials.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and customer-facing functions and translate specialized knowledge into practical guidance.
• A proactive mindset and genuine commitment to continuous learning, self-assessment, and technical development.
• A bachelor's degree and/or relevant cybersecurity certifications is a plus, but demonstrated technical capability and experience are valued most.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not currently available.

Benefits:

• Base salary range of $122,400–$177,500 USD , with the primary target range of approximately $145,000–$165,000 depending on experience, skills, and market considerations.
