Safety Specialist
The Safety Specialist supports workplace safety programs in a manufacturing environment. You'll help ensure the company follows safety regulations, conduct training, perform inspections, and promote a strong safety culture.
What You'll Do
- Support and maintain safety (EHS) programs
- Help ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company standards
- Conduct safety training, meetings, and new hire orientations
- Perform inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Track and manage PPE (safety gear) inventory
- Help update safety procedures and documentation
- Assist with workers' compensation cases
- Support emergency drills and safety committees
- Monitor environmental programs (waste, water, hazardous materials)
- Help with regulatory reporting and audits
- Communicate with teams to improve safety processes
What You Need
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and safety regulations
- Experience with safety programs or audits
- Ability to read and follow technical documents
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and with teams
Nice to Have:
- Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
- Experience with ISO standards (ISO 9001)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Workers' compensation or compliance reporting experience

Schedule
- Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional nights or weekends as needed
- Must follow safety procedures and use proper PPE
Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Baxley, GA.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/yr. - Medical dental, vision - 401 k
Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Baxley,GA.
