Security Project Manager – Access Control As a Security Project Manager, you'll join a collaborative team that values accountability, professional growth, and delivering exceptional results on complex commercial security and low-voltage projects. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Security Project Manager to oversee commercial electronic security and low-voltage projects from estimating through project completion. This is a project management and estimating position—not a sales role. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial security systems, field operations, estimating, and client relationship management. The Project Manager will work closely with customers, field technicians, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position reports directly to our VP and is part of a collaborative team of approximately 11–15 employees . Responsibilities Identify, review, and bid commercial electronic security and low-voltage projects. Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for: Access Control Nurse Call Systems Other integrated low-voltage systems Perform plan takeoffs using Bluebeam and manage project documentation through Procore . Review construction drawings, specifications, and design-build documents to ensure complete project scope. Understand relay logic and coordinate security system integration with fire alarm systems. Manage projects from award through closeout while ensuring customer satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments. Monitor project schedules, budgets, change orders, and billing. Work closely with Finance regarding invoicing and project setup. Communicate project status with customers and internal stakeholders. Lead and support field technicians to ensure successful project execution. Develop long-term relationships with clients while delivering exceptional customer service. Continuously improve project processes and contribute to the success of the organization. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial electronic security, low-voltage systems, or project management. Strong field experience installing or managing commercial security systems. Experience estimating and bidding commercial security projects. Experience with Design-Build projects. Proficiency using Bluebeam and Procore . Working knowledge of IP-based video surveillance and enterprise access control systems. Experience with security platforms such as Lenel, Software House, Honeywell ProWatch, Genetec, Milestone, ONSSI, IndigoVision, Exacq, or similar. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
