Emergency Department RN – Combined Adult/Pediatrics

Schedule: Patient ratio: 4:1 (days/nights/weekends) Weekend requirement: every other weekend

Assignment Details: Minimum experience: 2 years Unit type: Emergency Department (combined adult/pediatrics) Beds: 43 Patient age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics

Requirements: RN licensure: GA license or Compact license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years RN experience required Community hospital experience required Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENCP, FHM preferred Experience with Epic charting preferred

Roles & Responsibilities: Conduct triage and rapid assessment of patients in an Emergency Department setting. Provide care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP/CPAP as needed. Perform central line care, start and maintain IVs, and administer IV vasopressors. Recognize and manage dysrhythmias, STEMI, and stroke care. Monitor procedural sedation and provide pediatric care within the Emergency Department. Address management of acute psychosis, including suicidal and violent patients.

Compliance / Notes: Core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. All compliance documents due by Tuesday prior to start. Maximum requested time off: 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission; no schedule changes post-offer. Major holiday RTO rules: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, no holiday RTO allowed; 1 holiday RTO may be considered if 3 holidays fall during assignment.
