Salary: $86,000 - 126,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for candidates with technical writing experience, ideally in the flight simulator industry.
• We require technical writing experience in Department of Defense, military, or aviation standards.
• We prefer experience with S1000D XML schema structure for IETMs.
• We prefer working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and XML publishing tools such as Arbortext; familiarity with AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus.
• We prefer logistics experience supporting maintainability and reliability analysis for customers.
• We are seeking someone with the ability to collect, research, organize, and synthesize material from system inspections, engineering documentation, and discussions with subject matter personnel.
• We need someone who can interpret contractual requirements and work with stakeholders to clarify ambiguous or open-ended requirements.
• We need a professional who can establish and follow schedules while balancing competing demands for limited resources.
• We require strong proficiency with MS Office, Visio, HTML documentation, and Adobe Acrobat.
• We are looking for a technical writing style that emphasizes order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• We need knowledge of writing processes, principles, and techniques for research and technical documentation.
• We require experience working in a highly regulated environment.
• We need proven ability to analyze highly technical information.

• We need candidates who can work occasional overtime and alternate shifts when needed.
• We require the ability and willingness to travel domestically and, at times, internationally.

• We research, write, and edit technical documentation deliverables such as Technical Reference Manuals, Procedures, System Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Instructor Utilization Handbooks, and Training System Support Documents.
• We plan, manage, and execute assigned projects from research and data collection through writing, validation, review, coordination, and publication.
• We work closely with product development teams through written and in-person communication to ensure technical accuracy and complete documentation.
• We analyze drawings, specifications, mock-ups, and product samples to capture operating procedures, technology details, and production sequences.
• We review published materials and recommend revisions to scope, format, content, reproduction, and binding methods.
• We use manufacturers catalogs, drawings, and other technical references to document equipment operation, maintenance, and service information.
• We select or create photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to clearly illustrate materials.
• We create and modify illustrations to support materials and assembly sequences.
• We interpret contract requirements and communicate our compliance approach in meetings and verbal presentations.
• We assist with the creation, duplication, and distribution of materials.
• We organize and compile COTS manuals for customer submission in accordance with specifications.
• We provide logistics support for DMSMS, spares provisioning, maintainability analysis, and reliability analysis.
• We collaborate continuously with logistics customer counterparts to manage expectations and reduce project risk.
• We work as part of a team of writers and logisticians, taking on primary and secondary roles across multiple projects.
