Senior Accountant

Job TitleRequired Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Experience in construction, real estate development, manufacturing, energy, or other project-based industries. Strong knowledge of GAAP, capitalization policies, job cost accounting, and financial reporting. Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage Intacct, Yardi, Procore, or similar. Advanced Excel skills and ability to manage multiple entities/projects.Job DescriptionLead month-end close, billing, AP review, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Manage fixed assets, construction-in-progress (CIP), capitalization, depreciation, and asset disposals. Analyze variances, investigate accounting issues, and support management reporting. Oversee project accounting, including WIP tracking, budgets, construction draws, cost forecasting, and lender/equity reporting. Review pay applications, change orders, retainage, and project cost coding. Support audits, tax requests, internal controls, and compliance initiatives. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, SOP development, process improvements, and staff mentorship.
