Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

Role: Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN) in an integrated cardiac, electrophysiology (EP), and interventional radiology (IR) lab. Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing care for designated patients under supervision. Act as a team leader and communicator among healthcare team members. Monitor patients for complications, administer medications including moderate sedation, document procedures, and assist in circulating or scrubbing into procedures. Assess patient and family learning needs, provide education tailored to their age, culture, and condition. Delegate care to ancillary staff and precept students or new hires. Develop and implement patient care plans, communicate activities, and evaluate responses to interventions. Demonstrate leadership by assisting other departments and ensuring fiscal responsibility. Follow hospital policies and procedures and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Valid Registered Nurse license (Florida) Current BLS certification ACLS certification within 3 months of hire Minimum of one year critical care experience; three years preferred Experience in procedural areas (e.g., Cath/IR/EP/Neuro) preferred Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in a critical care setting and respond promptly to emergent situations Key Duties: Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer treatments, educate patients and families, document activities, evaluate patient responses, and support team operations.
