Compensation 

• Starting at $29.25 per hour with an average of 50 hours weekly  
• Overtime pay after 40 hours
• Merit increases annually
• Referral Bonus: $1,500 (after driver is employed for at least 6 months)
• Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule 

The Commercial Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient collection and transportation of waste and recyclables from assigned commercial customers. This role independently operates heavy-duty vehicles and related equipment, maintains accurate service records, communicates with dispatch and customers regarding route activities, and ensures compliance with DOT, safety, and company requirements.

• Home Daily!
• Schedule: Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends during peak seasons/holidays  
• Shift: 3:00am to 4pm 
• Dedicated Route: Average 40 miles radius around Atkinson, IL
• Hualing: Waste or recyclable materials
• Level of Touch: Low touch - Hydraulic operated truck
  • Must clean equipment  

Equipment  

• Front Load Commercial Mack Truck
• Automatic

Essential Job Duties:

• Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
• Collect and transport waste or recyclables from commercial customers.
• Communicate with dispatchers and route supervisors regarding issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed.
• Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.

Qualifications 

• Must be at least 18 years of age  
• Must have at least a CDL B
• Will train drivers with no experience. Prefer drivers with exposure to the manufacturing, waste, or logistics experience
• Air Brake Endorsements    
• Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire
• Must not have any DUI’s or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
• Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations 
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen 
• Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly lift and carry heavy loads, often up to 70 pounds or more. 
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching to collect garbage. 
  • Long hours of driving, often in congested conditions. 
  • Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. 
  • High noise levels from trucks and machinery. 
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials and unpleasant odors. 
• Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 35 miles of  Atkinson, IL or be willing to relocate for this position
