Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CI/CD Migration Engineer to lead the transition from Jenkins to GitHub Actions for our build and deployment pipelines. In this role, you will analyze existing Jenkins pipelines, design and implement equivalent workflows in GitHub Actions, and ensure a smooth migration process. You will establish organizational standards, provide ongoing support, and empower application teams to manage their pipelines effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document existing Jenkins pipelines to understand current build and deployment processes.
• Design and develop equivalent CI/CD workflows and reusable actions within GitHub Actions.
• Migrate pipelines on a repo-by-repo basis, validating that new workflows replicate existing behavior before decommissioning Jenkins.
• Define organization-wide conventions, templates, and reusable workflow/action libraries to promote consistency and reduce redundancy across teams.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for migrated workflows.
• Onboard and enable application teams to adopt, manage, and own their new pipelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Hands-on experience migrating CI/CD pipelines or platforms at scale.
• Strong working knowledge of Jenkins pipelines, including declarative and scripted syntax, as well as shared libraries.
• Practical experience developing GitHub Actions workflows and creating reusable or custom actions.
• Familiarity with common build ecosystems such as Maven, Gradle, Docker, and artifact repositories.
• Proficiency in scripting and working with YAML-based pipeline configurations.
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Perl, Shell, and Python.
