Summary:


The Production Planner will coordinate flow of work within or between departments and suppliers of the manufacturing facility to meet customer schedules and internal goals by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops daily and weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
• Monitors material supply flow and identifies any shortages or bottlenecks in usage that may arise.
• Determine material, prepare status and performance reports, and resolve production issues.
• Investigates Production Closing Issues/Inventory/Shortages.
• Evaluating purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.
• Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
• Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
• Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
• Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
• Ensures system integrity through maintenance of system records, work orders and purchase orders.
• Reports on time delivery information and other reports as required.
• change to Month end reports, checks, and verifications.
• Reviews planning data and make or submits necessary adjustments or changes (IE: planner codes, routings, BOMs, warehouses, etc)
• Analyze reports and investigate system shortages/BOM/inventory issues.
• Assist in the resolution of MRP and Planning discrepancies.
• Determines progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.
• Improve production through application of innovative ideas and projects.
• Other duties as needed.

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Experience using LN
• Problem solving skills
• Computer (Excel and Word) Skills

One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Intermediate level experience with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
