Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler Job Description
This role focuses on safely moving materials and products throughout the facility, supporting packaging and production operations, and ensuring accurate shipping and receiving processes. You will handle incoming equipment, supplies, raw materials, and components, while maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environment.
Responsibilities

• Move materials and finished products throughout the building to support packaging and production lines.
• Receive incoming equipment, supplies, raw materials, and components in a timely and accurate manner.
• Pull components and materials for packaging and production lines according to schedules and work orders.
• Transport finished products and supplies from packaging and production areas to designated storage locations.
• Organize supplies in designated staging areas to ensure efficient access for packaging and production teams.
• Store finished products in proper locations, following inventory and storage guidelines.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
• Reconcile bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders with actual shipments to confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with order requirements.
• Process and log incoming components accurately in the system or designated logs.
• Tag, sort, organize, and store supplies in designated locations to maintain orderly inventory.
• Operate a sit-down forklift safely to move materials and products as needed.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures while performing daily tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work location, including staging and storage areas.

Essential Skills

• 23 years of warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
• Proficiency operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including handling incoming and outgoing materials.
• Basic inventory handling skills, including tagging, sorting, and storing materials.
• Ability to reconcile bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders with actual shipments.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
• Commitment to following safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferably bilingual, with the ability to communicate effectively in more than one language.
• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or production support environment.
• Basic organizational skills to maintain orderly staging and storage areas.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse and production support environment with both first and second shift options. First shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. One second-shift position is available with hours of either 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with training conducted on first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role involves regular use of a sit-down forklift, handling and moving materials and finished products, and working around packaging and production lines. You will frequently lift up to 75 pounds and spend much of the day on your feet in a warehouse setting. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with clear procedures for staging, storage, and inventory handling.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Prospect, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
