Description
***This is a 2nd shift opportunity, Monday - Thursday 4pm - 2:30am***
***2nd shift is eligible for an 8% shift differential on base pay***
*** Effective June 1, 2026 Sign-On Bonus: $3000. Paid out: 1st half 30 days, and 2nd half in 60 days once on Modern's payroll.***
Duties & Responsibilities
- Hand finish a wide variety of metal parts and castings for the aerospace and semiconductor industries
- Use hand and power tools to grind, sand, clean, break edges, and deburr parts in preparation for further finishing
Knowledge & Abilities
- Proficient in the use of deburring and hand-finishing tools including right angle grinders, die grinders, orbital sanders, and air pens (manual and power)
- Knowledge and use of calipers, torque wrenches, helicoil, keensert, and Lee plug installation tools
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 03 years of hand finishing experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend English preferred
Physical Requirements
- Steady hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to twist/turn upper body as needed
- Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
