Supply Control Inventory Coordinator - Surgical Supply

Overview These roles are responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day functions that support the university’s physical and logistical needs. Staff in these positions work to ensure that facilities are well-maintained, operational processes are efficient, and UVA environments are welcoming and functional. These roles are responsible for managing the university’s supplies and materials, including ordering, storing, and distributing items across departments. They monitor stock levels, track assets, and ensure that essential materials are available when needed. Individual contributors who provide support to an organization, often in direct service, operational, technical or administrative functions. They spend the majority of time in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience. Entry‑level position typically requiring little to no prior experience. Work is routine and follows standard procedures. Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are routine with clearly defined solutions. Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation. Minimum Requirements Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Experience: No experience required Licensure: None required Physical Demands Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, climbing (ladder, steps) and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50‑100 lbs. May be exposed to cold and heat. Compensation The starting base rate for this role is $12.77 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
