While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.The WorkSystem Safety engineering and the development of program safety plans will provide the engineering team with the application of safety policies and guidance. The individual will also support MDA and other program personnel, performing additional system engineering tasks as needed. The successful candidate will interface with team members and National Team management to ensure that high quality products are generated on schedule and within the available resources.Responsibilities include:- Integration of the product lines- Generation of responsible sections of the capability specifications- Training less experienced personnel in SE and Safety techniques- Reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis-Systems engineering and software systems engineering experience required in developing new systems and integrating existing systems, with an emphasis on system safety assessment and impactsPlease Note:-This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. -The role may involve approximately 10% travel to customer sites throughout the U.S.Who We AreAs leaders of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin partners with industry leaders to develop and field the backbone of America’s missile defense.
