Position Overview
As a Site Safety & Environmental Compliance Manager your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental health & safety regulations
- Lead and support implementation of SHE (Safety, Health & Environmental) and ISO management systems (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001)
- Conduct internal assessments (e.g., JSAs, PHAs, Ergonomic Evaluations)
- Administer EHS-related programs, training, emergency drills, and inspections
- Act as Emergency Response Coordinator and lead incident investigations
- Supervise waste handling, reduction, and disposal processes
- Chair the site safety committee and drive its strategic initiatives
- Partner with internal stakeholders to build a culture of safety
Qualifications
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Site Safety & Environmental Compliance Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Site Safety & Environmental Compliance Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with environmental compliance and audits
- Experience with sustainability metrics and waste reduction strategies (preferred)
- Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills
