Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract paraprofessional in a vibrant middle school setting. This opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through June 11, with hours from 7:30 AM to 2:40 PM (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch).

You'll provide focused, 1:1 support to an 8th-grade student, collaborating with educators and specialists to create a positive, productive environment tailored to individual needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous paraprofessional experience, ideally working with students demonstrating behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with supporting student learning and engagement in a classroom setting
• Ability to remain patient, understanding, and adaptable in a variety of situations
• Strong communication skills to interact with teachers, specialists, and caregivers
• Willingness to complete required state trainings prior to or at start of assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer direct assistance and supervision to an individual 8th grade student throughout the school day
• Follow established behavior management strategies and individualized education plan (IEP) objectives
• Foster a supportive, encouraging atmosphere that promotes academic and social growth
• Collaborate with educators and school staff to implement effective instructional support
• Document observations and progress as needed, ensuring open communication with the instructional team
