2027 Early Talent Internship: SUNY Co-op (Retirement Solutions)

Intern

Throughout the intensive 10-week summer program, participants engage in a structured professional development curriculum featuring:

This position provides exposure to key business divisions including Actuarial Services, Asset Management, Business Management, Corporate Strategy and Development, Financial Analysis and Accounting, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Law and Policy, Marketing and Communications, Product and Business Development, Retirement Solutions, Risk and Compliance, Technology, and Wealth Management.

Key Roles and Duties

• Support high-impact business initiatives by contributing to meaningful projects that directly support business objectives and client outcomes
• Collaborate on strategic presentations and research projects, contributing to PowerPoint and Excel deliverables and analytical materials that inform key business decision-making
• Support a variety of projects by helping to coordinate project materials and meetings to ensure seamless information flow across teams
• Drive independent research initiatives to gather market intelligence, competitive analysis, and supporting documentation that advances business objectives
• Immerse yourself in professional development opportunities through exclusive access to executive speaker series, specialized training programs, and networking events designed to accelerate your career trajectory

Your Path Within Retirement Solutions

You'll gain firsthand exposure to what powers TIAA's core Retirement Solutions business, including:

• Institutional Relationship Management – Gain insights into the exceptional outcomes we’re providing for plan sponsors, consultants, and participants.

• Strategic Sales & Consultant Relations – Learn how our sales teams drive institutional growth with new clients, consulting firms and advisors

• Chief Operating Office — See how we design, develop and execute our core recordkeeping business and transformation strategy while operationally delivering plan sponsor client implementation and communications.

• Chief Administrative Office - Help shape how the business evolves by translating strategy into action through planning, prioritization, governance, and project delivery.

Rising seniors: Take your experience even further with our Security Industry Essentials (SIE) prep program, culminating in the opportunity to sit for the SIE exam before summer's end—a credential that gives you a running start in financial services.

Additional Requirements

• Current enrolled in a degree-seeking program with expected graduation date between December 2027– June 2028
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S., and not require current or future work visa sponsorship to retain authorization to work in the U.S.
• Only applicants that attend a university within the SUNY system are eligible for this experience.

Anticipated Posting End Date:

2026-10-23Base Pay Range: $22.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
