Schedule/Shift

Four 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with weekend coverage required every other week.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist, RRT will provide high-quality respiratory care and support to patients across various age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults. The therapist will utilize the Epic charting system and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapy, social services, and nursing staff. Special procedures and a focus on critical care respiratory management are expected in this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients in critical and non-critical settings.
• Utilize advanced respiratory equipment and therapies, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-frequency ventilators.
• Conduct assessments and monitor patient respiratory status using tools such as ABG interpretation and apnea monitoring.
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to devise and implement respiratory treatment plans.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Must have prior charge experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid RRT certification.
• Current state licensure.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications are required.
