THE ROLE

Chetola Resort is seeking hardworking and reliable individuals to join our dynamic Event Staff team. As an Event Staff Member / Banquet Server , you'll play a critical role in delivering memorable event experiences for guests-from intimate celebrations to large-scale banquets. This role is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, with a team-oriented mindset and a strong attention to detail. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the event and hospitality industry while working in a fun and fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Event Execution & Guest Experience

• Set up and break down event spaces, including placement of tables, chairs, linens, signage, and equipment
• Greet and direct guests, offering a warm and welcoming experience
• Provide high-touch banquet service, ensuring food and beverage delivery meets Chetola's standards
• Assist with buffet or plated meal service, beverage stations, and clearing service items
• Monitor event spaces to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout events
• Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and courtesy
• Follow safety, sanitation, and service protocols to ensure smooth execution of each event
• Collaborate with event coordinators, vendors, and fellow team members to meet client expectations

• Room readiness: Tables evenly spaced, linens wrinkle-free, chairs aligned, and place settings positioned with exact consistency
• Tabletop precision: Flatware polished and placed correctly, glassware spotless, napkins folded uniformly, and centerpiece placement intentional
• Service timing: Courses delivered smoothly and in sync, plates cleared discreetly, and beverages refreshed before guests need to ask
• Buffet presentation: Serving utensils aligned, labels accurate, stations clean and fully stocked, and food presentation maintained throughout service
• Event awareness: Continuous scanning of the room to identify spills, clutter, guest needs, or service gaps before they impact the experience
• Professional presence: Uniform crisp, posture attentive, and movement calm and purposeful in guest spaces
• Reset excellence: Spaces restored quickly and thoroughly between event phases with no overlooked details - from chair placement to floor condition

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in hospitality, events, or customer service is a plus but not required
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as moving tables and equipment
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays required
• Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
